We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who has experience in designing experiments, setting, and debugging complex test-benches, and analyzing data to be able to reach concrete conclusions. You must have great communication skills and proven strong problem-solving skills.

**About this position**

As a Thermal Mechanical Engineer in Intel's PC Client Group, you will perform customer intelligence of new client systems, and characterize thermal performance of full thermal solutions or its components.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing thermal simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Designing thermal solutions and thermal mitigation strategies in client devices.
- Investigating and proposing innovative ideas to improve thermal dissipation in future products.
- Performing thermal measurements in the laboratory for model validation and correlation.
- Publishing technical collateral and hands-on support to enable integration into customer designs.
- Providing guidance to cross-functional development teams comprised of thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Other responsibilities include conducting design previews, performing system acceptance, and resolving design and implementation issues. In this role you will also respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
- Communicate in English clearly both verbally and in written format to a variety of audiences with differing levels of technical expertise.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**

Bachelor of Science (or higher degree) in Thermal Engineering, Physical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields of study.

Good English communication skills (advanced level).

1+ year of proven experience in documenting technical test reports.

1+ year experience in data acquisition with LabView.

6+ months experience performing statistical analysis with JMP applied to thermal metrology.

1+ year experience with Icepak performing thermal analyses and thermal models' correlations.

6+ months of relevant experience in design of experiments to perform thermal analysis of electronic components and/or systems.

At least one proven experience installing and debugging thermal complex test-benches.

**Preferred qualifications**

Approved courses on mechanical engineering concepts and principles such as Heat and Fluid Transfer, or Numerical Simulation.

Experience with ANSYS IcePak, FloTHERM, ANSYS Fluent, Comsol Multiphysics, or similar tools to perform CFD.

Operation and debugging of temperature measurement equipment.

**Working Model**:
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. **In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.**
