- The Fixed Assets/Global Lease Accounting Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the fixed assets and lease accounting functions within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The Team Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets and global lease transactions.
- This position will report to the R2R Manager and will support the execution of Fixed Assets and Global Leasing Accounting related activities.
- Main Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to a team of fixed assets and global lease accounting professionals. Set clear expectations, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure team goals are met.
- Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the entire fixed assets lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposal. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Global Lease Accounting: Manage the lease accounting process, including lease classification, recognition, measurement, and disclosure. Stay updated on lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842) and ensure compliance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to fixed assets and global lease accounting. Collaborate with the finance team to provide necessary information for financial statements, audits, and other reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance fixed assets and global lease accounting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to internal controls and assist with internal and external audits related to fixed assets and global lease accounting. Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, procurement, and operations, to gather necessary information, resolve issues, and ensure accurate recording of fixed assets and global lease transactions.
- Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed assets and global lease accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP and lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842).
- Proficiency in using accounting software and systems. Experience with ERP systems and lease accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Self-motivated with proven leadership and organization skills
- Knowledge, insight, and experience in Fixed Asset and Global Lease Accounting
- Experience in handling high volume account portfolios and balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to work in culturally diverse teams
- Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to leverage and build on ERP skills to ensure operational excellence and service quality
