**Job Description**:
'1) Payroll Tax Expertise & Knowledge
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of North America payroll Tax processes and regulations to ensure accuracy & compliance, and stay abreast of changes required.
2) Payroll Processes
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of all weekly, bi-weekly and monthly taxes for both US and Canada.
- Provide support to all Payroll Reports and Reconciliation including but not limited to: Benefits, Union Dues, Stock Options, Record of Employment, Wage Statements, and Multiple Worksite Reporting.
- Assist in resolving tax payroll issues related expats, master data, reconciliations.
- Pull or create new reports to support payroll Tax inquiries, compliance, audit, or other areas as needed.
Tax Administration:
Daily tax payment services including confirmation of tax amount that will be funded for tax payment.
Validation and calculation of tax related to daily and annual tax administration activities.
Supports annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly reporting; ensuring review for timely and accurate filings; tracking and reporting as determined/requested by internal and external audit.
Support requirements for payroll management and ultimate software teams related to tax filings/tracer.
Performs employer tax rate maintenance.
Process Daily Stock Options for both US and Canada
Process Restricted Stocks as needed
Process Monthly and Year End Relocation Reports
Process Tax Adjustments on an employee level
Create W2Cs, Amended T4s and RLAs as needed.

- Seeks ways to make the process and service simpler and more cost effective for the business

**More about this role**
The Tax and reconciliation specialist is accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of payroll ensuring timely processing, compliance, standard payroll processes for the complex North America (US & Canada) payroll for approximately 22,000 employees with various, and separate union agreements.
**Education / Certifications**:
Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting (preferred)
**Job specific requirements**:
- Minimum 1 year in payroll experience for USA & Canada
- Experience in a complex payroll environment
- General knowledge with Fed, State and Local Taxes USA/ Province & Fed for Canada (preferred)
- Advanced English
