**How will I make an impact**
An IT Operations Center (ITOC) - administrator is responsible for maintaining and upgrading systems such that environment is secured and updated. This role includes, but not limited to system operations, patch management, system upgrades, cloud integration initiatives, and various operational projects to meet business objectives. This role will allow thinking creatively and empower colleagues to make decisions and implement with guardrails not gates. Your efficient contribution will help the business and the company to enable our customers succeed.

- Handle environments in AWS with a focus on ec2, and Systems Manager
- Fundamental knowledge in writing shell scripts, debugging errors, and modifying scripts when vital
- Prefer good experience on VMware, ILO and physical servers
- Need to be proficient with DNS, FTP and NFS also with remote access and security.
- Experience in migrating servers and upgrading servers.
- Drive root cause analyses, and mentor others on doing them, in collaboration with software development teams.
- Analyze and adjust designs to assist in predicting and improving system stability.
- Provide L2 operational support for Windows infrastructure resides on physical, virtual and cloud environment.

- Handling and supervising the service management work queue to address customer requests within the established service level agreements.
- Participating in the on-call rotation with other members of the team to provide support coverage for the global Windows infrastructure.
- Find opportunities to improve the infrastructure by implementing the standards that have been established by the Global Systems Reliability team.
- Ensure the highest possible level of server uptime and availability by proactively identifying and fixing infrastructure related problems.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and maintenance activities.

- Works closely with our external partners and industry leaders to enable us have a keen understanding of where industry trends and technologies are going and factor those into our strategies and roadmaps.
- Previous experience with Service Now and proficiency in crafting workflows.
- Ensure the solutions the Reliability Engineering team crafts and delivers are meeting defined business requirements and will stand the test of time from an operational excellence perspective.
- Work closely with IT Security to make sure the solutions we're designing and delivering meet data security and compliance requirements.
- Be available for scheduling for 24/7 oncall rotation to respond to and resolve issues.
**How can I get here?**
4-year degree with major in Computer Science/ Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university
2-3 years' experience with VMware Virtualization/AWS Cloud infrastructure management
Must have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in Cloud Solutions Delivery and Cloud architecture, especially public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP. Strong preference for AWS experience
4+ years' experience in Windows Server OS Administration
3+ years L3 Infrastructure Operational Support experience
The role has Shifts which would be alternating between Tue - Sat or Sun - Thur
Working hours - 10am to 6pm (Costa Rica local time)
