**Lead environmental sustainability initiatives across the organization to ensure the company delivers on its external environmental sustainability operational goals.
Responsible for identifying opportunities to meet commitments and to drive delivery of internal environmental sustainability initiatives, being highly collaborative and working in synergy with various internal partners and supporting external stakeholders**:

- Act as global owner, identifying, planning, and providing strategic direction and oversight of internal environmental sustainability improvements.
- Drive awareness, create and design specific education and training initiatives for the company related to environmental sustainability to create broad knowledge & expertise.
Perform market research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the newest innovations and developments in sustainable practices and technology
- Seek opportunities to accelerate sustainability across locations and offices (including home offices) by proposing and implementing programs that will positively impact the environmental footprint in alignment with Moody's Environmental Policy
- Ensure proactive & continuous progress is being made towards internal improvement initiatives to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.
- Continue to develop and maintain the framework to capture, report and analyze Moody's global KPI's and own accuracy of data tracking for environmental performance including business savings from wastesustainable materials and energy efficiency.
- Support other environmental reporting efforts
- Partner collaboratively with specific stakeholders to understand emerging environmental sustainability legislation and regulations and build approaches that enable the company to reduce business risk, while creating strategies to influence new legislation to develop potential opportunities for the organization.
- Experience implementing corporate sustainability strategy, particularly environmental activities that relate to real estate, including waste and energy
- Experience working on environmental sustainability on a global scale
- Experience implementing environmental data management systems
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable, managing projects with differing objectives, milestones and deliverables.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Experience with ISO14001 a plus
- Process oriented with a strong collaborative approach
- Keen to present research and analysis results in an orderly manner and highlight key outcomes
- Strong ability to meet project deadlines and cadence
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills, in order to effectively build relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously while keeping management apprised of projects
- Fluent in written and spoken English a must
- 2+ years in sustainability with a track record of effectively managing programs
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as Environmental Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, Sustainability (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university
- Master's degree preferred
