**A Day in the Life**
In this exciting role as a Supply Chain Planner, you will have responsibility for efficiently managing the overall supply and production requirements for Medtronic's Network Supply Chain Global Team. Primary responsibility will be ensuring product availability while meeting inventory targets and ensuring the flawless launch of new products. This position leads and works in a collaborative environment with other business functions and will support the department's strategic goals and objectives with limited direct supervision. You will also partner & support process improvement opportunities throughout each stage.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
- Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Analyzes, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify service risks and perform mitigation actions.
- Support business execution of new programs and initiatives that include transportation cost optimization, new product launches, and network redesigns.
- Extract informed insights on key business analytics from KPI dashboards.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders about deployment projections, constraints, allocation decisions, etc.
- Identify and implement the process(s) and/or system changes to improve on-time delivery performance.
- Provide comprehensive insights on distribution requirements, backorder projections or other process.
- Distribution of regular and assigned reports.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors degree required in Engineering Industrial or related.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree (Master) of relevant Supply Chain, Planning or Forecasting experience.
- Strong analytical, planning, Excel and organizational skills.
- Bilingual English - Spanish Communication and Business Proficiency, and excellent written and verbal communication.
**Nice to Have**
- Experience in Supply or Distribution Planning.
- Knowledge or certification of SAP, Power BI, Lean Six Sigma, APICS are desired.
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification.
- High level of integrity and accountability, curiosity and inquisitiveness.
- Experience with purchasing, forecasting and supplier management.
- Experience managing projects and working in teams.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and deliver concise updates to various stakeholders.
