Based in Costa Rica (Heredia plant), reporting to LatAm Supply Chain Director and to Central America Country Manager, you will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of all Supply Chain activities, leading the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, planning the strategy for the activities of the entire supply chain, including raw materials and production in accordance with the needs of our clients, guaranteeing the level of service in a complex region including several countries in Central America and Caribe. Lead the activities of the logistics and distribution process to ensure delivery quality, compliance and competitive costs. Also responsible for the management, controlling and optimization of the inventories as well as the management of the area indicators, contributed to the achievement of the business results, according to the plans, objectives and pre-established policies, focusing on intercompany flows, operational excellence and customer centricity.
You will focus on the following activities:
- Develop and implement strategies for maintaining the inventory levels of raw materials, finished and semi-finished products, in accordance with the stipulated sales defined in the annual Management Plan, S&OP and monthly Rolling Forecast, to guarantee the continuity of production, as well as keeping inventories at competitive levels.
- Lead the development of logistics efficiency projects, encouraging the constant generation of ideas, implementation and support, guaranteeing the continuous improvement of the processes.
- Manage the interrelation between the Commercial and Industrial areas, to maintain the balance between the customer's need and the productive capacity and the availability of raw material.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize tools for planning and scheduling production, material management and monitoring, to make the activities of the sector agile and precise.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate the Inter-company supply processes for finished products, semi-finished products, and raw materials, coordinating the process of preparing Inter-company offers, negotiation and supply to the affiliates.
- Establish, together with the local and regional Procurement teams, strategies for the economic and timely supply of raw materials and consumables, managing the supply process, to guarantee internal inventory levels and so that the required purchase deadlines are met.
- Participate together with the Engineering and Commercial areas of the analytical comments of the contracts of new offers, to satisfy the client's need and define the most appropriate logistics strategy.
- Develop and continually update the Production Planning of the production units under their responsibility to meet the delivery deadlines desired by customers and achieve the established service level.
- Define the production deadlines to satisfy the sales orders issued by the Commercial Area based on the production capacity, availability of labor and the customer's need.
- Manage the process of sending to Industrial Area the production order in SAP with the established deadlines, to make the production order official.
- Monitor the production order portfolio to ensure compliance with the established deadlines, prevent possible delays and propose corrective or preventive measures.
- Drive and manage import and export activities, as well as the entire international logistics and customs process.
- Guarantee the continuous fulfillment and improvement of the Supply Chain KPIs, presenting reports of logistics control, S&OP, stock and production levels, service level.
- Coordinate the administration of logistics supply contracts, to maintain the level of stock, logistics costs and services compatible with the established levels.
- Lead projects to gain maximum return on working capital investments throughout the supply chain (vendor inventories, raw materials, finished products, and customers).
- Control the expenses inherent to the function to comply with the established budget.
- Comply with the Matrix of Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities regarding the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Education- Bachelor in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or related field.- MBA, Pos-University Degree on Supply Chain or Logistics or equivalent certification in the area.
Professional Experience- Minimum of 8 years of previous experience, in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics, planning and programming of production, export and import, or similar functions, necessary to master the main activities of the position.- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.- Previous experience on cable industry or electro-electronic will be consider as a plus.
