**The Opportunity**

This position works out of our Alajuela, location in the Electrophysiology division. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

As the Manufacturing Engineer II, you'll have responsibility to support data capturing, analysis and presentation to Supply Chain team members which supports the company's global cashflow optimization initiatives as well as other end to end supply chain improvements projects. Responsible for analysis of supply chain performance, developing and maintaining Supply Chain reports, data integrity and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), maximizing the effectiveness of the organization's and continuous improvement activities.

**What You'll Do**
- Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders across supply chain department to support initiatives through analysis such as: reduce inventory levels without decreasing customer service levels, minimize supply chain scrap expenses, improve asset management, optimize raw material, sub assembly and/or finished goods flow, demand & supply forecasts analysis to ensure all relevant business requirements/trends are incorporated and appropriately reflected.
- Extracts data from ERP system to create various moderately complex reports used to identify inventory management,expired inventory, stock rotation initiatives, and other inventory/stocking issues.
- Prepares, summarizes and presents data accuracy, delivery performance & other key metrics to assess performance and process improvement efforts to mid level management.
- Identifies and may be involved in process improvement projects which improve customer service levels, improve product flows, minimize supply chain costs and improve asset management.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies,operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in: Supply Chain, Finance, Business Admin, Industrial Engineering and other related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Finance.
- 1+ year of experience with supply chain ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Willing to travel.
- Intermediate Bilingual (English and Spanish) / Required

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 1+ year of experience with supply chain ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
