MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
- Records inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
- Operates all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures.
- Develops inspection methods.
Ability to program CMM and Optical systems.
- Recommends and may submit changes to policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Documents non-conformances in Non-Conforming Material Review system.
- Designs and conducts GR&R studies.
- Collects, analyzes and presents data for First Article inspections.
- Performs testing and inspection in accordance with special test requests.
- Contributes to test and measurement equipment selection and acquisition.
- Trains other inspection staff on use of complex inspection equipment.
- Requests certifications from vendors.
- Discusses inspection methodology with suppliers to achieve correlation of inspection data.
- Assists in gathering, analyzing, and trending of data.
- Assists Supplier Quality Engineering investigations.
- Assists in audits attendance.
- Assists in on boarding process for supplier quality personnel
- Provides guidance in raw material investigations in production
- Manage Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Support administrative supervisory functions.
- Assisting in SCRs and SCARs process
- Assisting and executing equipment validations
- Assisting in new supplier qualification process
- Participate in metrics creation reports
- Assisting and leading in direct sourcing strategies
- Assisting in leading and training new technicians
Education
Education Level Major/Field of Study
Technical degree obtained in related fields.
Or Engineering student (at least 80%) of the university degree program
STEM careers preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Basic knowledge of statistical software packages.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system in supply chain modules
- Knowledge of CMMs, optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure and force gage testing.
- Knowledge in blueprint reading and inspection sampling techniques.
- Knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485.
- +2 years of experience in supplier quality
- Experience in audits (internal/external)
Language Proficiency Intermediate Commands of English / Required
Preferred Qualifications & Education - ASQ CQT certification preferred.
