Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) P3 in the Global Quality for Service Supplier (GQSS) Team: This concentrates on all aspects of supplier selection, supplier process & and technical support for all purchased servies in BSC Galway. The Global Quality for Service Supplier Team is responsible for the technical leadership, supplier monitoring and resolution of non-conformances within the service supplier supply chain.
**Your Responsibilities Include**:
- Technical Team Member on Teams comprising representatives from Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Business Units responsible for all aspects of Supplier Management.
- Demonstrates Technical skills in Commodity/Category Management.
- Responsible for supporting objectives of the Team in terms of Quality, Cost and Service.
- Supports Continuous Improvement of Quality & Quality Systems, Service Capability and Total Cost of Ownership throughout the Supply Chain.
- Supports investigation of Quality issues as they arise. Works with Quality, Procurement & Business Units to resolve issues.
- Promotes the Quality System within the Supply Base.
- Works with Procurement, Global Sourcing, BSC Departments (such as calibration, Labeling, Warehousing/Logistics, Labs) & Business Units/Project Teams to ensure that service suppliers meet established requirements.
- Ensures that adequate Supplier Corrective Actions are identified, implemented and controlled by Suppliers
- Owns/Particiaptes with CAPA's related to Material Controls processes and/or service suppliers.
- Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of Supplier Management Policies and Procedures.
- Communicates effectively with all Internal & External Stakeholders.
- Develops new Supply sources with the Global Sourcing, Procurement & Project Teams
- Leads Supplier Audits of service suppliers - travel estimated to be ~ 20%
- Manages the Approved Vendor List (AVL) for Service Suppliers
- Identifies, Supports and Leads Material Value Improvement Projects (VIP's) throughout the Supply Chain.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering/Technology
- 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing or service provider environment or equivalent with direct experience in a quality assurance environment.
- Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 17025 is an advantage
- Experience in Supplier Control/Management activities is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Proficient English spoken & written
