At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewThe Strategic Sourcing Analyst will focus on the following initiatives for improving the procurement process:• Improve procurement quality and delivery to the customer via responsiveness and contract execution.• Reduce Lead Times to complete procurement process, from initial request to contract completion.• Reduce overall cost for the various commodities while driving significant savings in order to meet TE Business Unit savings goals.• Improve overall service of procurement to all Business Unit planning and plant manufacturing teams.What your background should look like:Requirements & Qualifications: Responsibilities:• Focal point of all supply chain initiatives associated with the Packaging, Tapes, and Indirect commodity.• Data Analysis for Key Performance Metrics and Operational items• Support to solve Operational issues such as Blocked Invoices, Supplier Compliance, Delivery, Supplier Quality, etc.• Support all quoting and sampling activities within the commodity• Lead make vs buy decisions• Establish Regional communication channels with Regional BU leadership to understand commodity needs, service level requirements, and measures/communicates results.• Responsible for attaining annual business results (ex.cost savings, supplier performance and compliance) for responsible commodities, including developing and leading leverage price and terms negotiations with potential and current suppliers.• Lead supplier negotiations and selection as requested by BU manager or global director.• Development of Commodity Strategy aligned with Business Expectation.• Ensure lowest upfront cost and high supplier service in supplier selection via analysis of supplier data, financial, capacity and capability.• Drive Supply Chain Optimization Strategies such as VMI, Consignment, LT Reduction, Mult sourcing & Others• Work closely with other BU Commodity Managers in business unit or sub-vertical to ensure the sharing of best-practices, and enhance negotiation leverage.• Provide strong support for all TE manufacturing plant(s) within region.• Provide valid and accurate inputs and commodity forecasts to TE's suppliers.• Manage assigned Commodity projects, including but not limited to Purchasing, Expediting, Issue Resolution, Payment, and Supplier Performance Reporting.• Promotes and provides instruction to supply base on global processes, standard work, and TE Platforms such as the TE portal for all assigned commodities.• Holds Voice of Customer Sessions with internal customers and utilizes feedback to improve team performance and supply base service.• Negotiate and load supplier agreements / contracts as required in TE receptacles.• Hold periodic business reviews with key/strategic suppliers to ensure TE metrics and directives are being achieved.Implement improvement plans and actions for poor performing suppliers.• Develop Supply Base consolidation or exit plans for low spend suppliers to increase TE leverage with key growth suppliers.• Lead internal reviews with the Commodity Key Stakeholders for performance improvement opportunities.Qualifications:• 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management/Procurement.• Demonstrated leadership of a commodity, project team or direct reports is preferred.• Advanced English level.• Proven experience managing commodities and materials related.• Demonstrated experience handling transferring of production process.• Education: Bachelor level degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, Engineering or related field.Advanced degree a plus.• Medical devices experience a plus.• Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience which may include management at the executive level.• Ability for periodic travel required.• Proficient in MS office suite; advanced Excel, Power point.• Previous SAP experience or training a plus.Soft Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.Strong analytical skills.Demonstrated negotiation skills.Must be extremely organized and able to meet or exceed critical deadlines.THIS WILL BE A REMOTE POSITION.CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork WHAT TE CONNECTIVITY OFFERS:We are pleased to offer you an exciting total package that can also be flexibly adapted to changing life situations - the well-being of our employees is our top priority!• Competitive Salary Package• Performance-Based Bonus Plans• Health and Wellness Incentives• Community Outreach Programs / Charity Events• Employee Resource Group Across our global sites and business units, we put together packages of benefits that are either supported by TE itself or provided by external service providers.In principle, the benefits offered can vary from site to site.
