Stryker is hiring a **Staff Supplier Quality Engineer - Remote** to be located in the United States. This role will be virtually based.
**What you will do**:
As a **Staff Supplier Quality Engineer**, you will be responsible for leading Supplier Quality Controls activities and process improvement initiatives within the Stryker site/Division. You will work closely with local, divisional and corporate stakeholders in the development of Supplier Controls systems, tools, policies and procedures ensuring that they are fully understood and implemented in the respective Stryker site.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the development, revision, maintenance, and inactivation of the local Stryker Site procedures ensuring the alignment with the Corporate Guidelines for Purchasing Controls and Supplier Management.
- Lead and/or support development and implementation of processes to build a best in class Supplier controls organization in coordination with Site / Campus Supplier Quality teams and Company-wide Supplier Quality Controls team.
- Lead site/campus Annual Supplier Quality Performance Review.
- Support companywide initiatives to develop and implement data and support systems to provide visibility into Stryker's global supply chain to enable global decision making and performance monitoring.
- Work with site and divisional counterparts to complete supplier management tasks related to addition/update/removal of suppliers on the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Work with site and divisional counterparts to complete Corporate Purchasing Controls CAPAs (containment actions, root cause, corrective/preventive action, etc.)
- Support Third Party inspection (FDA, Notified Body etc.) and Stryker Corporate audits of the Quality System.
- Train others in Corporate Purchasing Controls related topics.
- Consolidation of data/metrics at the site/campus or Group level.
- Execute Supplier Quality Agreements (SQA) and Supplier Change Control Agreements (CCA).
**What you will need**:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of experience in Supply Management, Quality, and/or Engineering or related field in a highly regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
- Supply Chain and/or Medical Device quality certifications or training is desired.
- Supplier Audit experience in quality system standards: FDA QSR, ISO3485 and ISO9001 preferred.
- General understanding of basic engineering and applied statistical analysis desired.
- Commercial contract knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, top management and potentially suppliers.
- Experience integrating best practices to achieve quality/continuous improvements
- Experience developing and implementing quality management systems, particularly with respect to purchasing/supplier controls and supplier quality assessment/supplier development activities in a regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace).
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, top management and potentially suppliers.
- Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally.
- Sound judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions
- Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
