POSITION OVERVIEW – Staff Data Analyst, Product Operations The Product Lifecycle Management Portfolio team has an immediate opening for a Data Analyst on the Product Operations Team.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our product master data.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
Your expertise in data analysis, data quality management, and product data governance will be instrumental in driving data integrity, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting the overall success of our product management initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills, who can drive results and manage their own projects.
They must be able to collaborate with other teams, and drive results.
Primary Responsibilities: • Modify and manage data structures and compatibility logic rules of product models for NI product offerings such as Platform Systems/Advisors, Product Configurators, Accessories, and Software.
• Perform data analysis and validation to identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies.
• Conduct regular data quality audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data governance and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Establish and enforce product data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with Product Planning and understand technical data specifications to define product model dependencies and compatibility rule logic • Prepare test validations and perform functional acceptance testing of product configuration or model changes within testing environments •Troubleshoot, problem solve, document, and provide technical feedback for issue resolution • Maintain quality and integrity of data models and rule structures Requirements: • BS in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or another technically related field is required.
Master's is a plus.
• Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in product data management and data governance, preferably within a master data management team or related function.
• Proficiency in SQL, understanding of pseudocode/programming terminology • Medium understanding of logical data flow and data structures • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality management.
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to learn NI Products, System Platforms, and Application areas.
• Self-Starter, high-level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical skills, comfortable working with business and technical teams.
• Flexibility to accommodate intermittent high volume of requests.
