**The Opportunity | Staff Accountant**

**Your Challenge**:
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policy
- Ownership of all preparer tasks for the assigned functional accounting areas, including accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and relevant supporting documentation.
- Prepare properly supported balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately; investigate and resolve reconciling differences in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
**Your Expertise**:
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers, and cross-functionally within the company.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, Vlookups, macros, formulas, etc.)
- Power BI is a plus!
- Proficiency with online conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.)
- Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills
- Highly motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively
- Strong analytical skills
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- BS/BA Degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years relevant Accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with payroll accounting, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting and/or general ledger accounting.
**International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
