Actively manage Treasury operations including funding needs, cash/investments for Moodys LATAM entities
- Manage local bank relationships and any bank admin associated responsibilities
- Manage Treasury transactions for Cash Management, Intercompany (Loans/Dividends), FX settlements, Investments, and/or regular funding transfers as required; back up for Americas Treasury
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecast models to manage operations, liquidity and cash repatriation
- Manage inter-company loans activities in compliance with Moody's policy.
- Execute payment transfers (enter/approve) via TMS or various bank portals and monitoring/updating Reval (TMS) for visibility of all non-reporting bank account balances.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for capital repatriation to the U.S.
- Assist in developing funding plan for corporate acquisitions and subsequent integrations
- Assist in design and documentation of Treasury processes and policies.
- Ensure close coordination with business continuity and corporate security teams for regional treasury function.
- Support placement of ad-hoc banking instrument such as guarantee, letter of credit etc.
- Opening/amending/closing bank accounts including managing signatories on those accounts;
- Maintaining a central repository of global bank account documentation for LATAM accounts; and bank accounts/signatories for all LATAM bank accounts in Reval (TMS);
- Addressing banks' KYC inquiries as received including information regarding Moody's entities, legal entity structure, signatory identification documents and other data as requested; providing Moody's banks with necessary documentation to on-board payment approvers in the banking system
**Scope/Supervision and Interaction**
- Oversees cash management operations and banking functions for LATAM region
- Maintain dialogues with all banking partners and local accounting offices to ensure Treasury receives optimal products and services
- Interaction with various business and staff functions and senior business management/country managers
- Makes decisions appropriate for level of responsibility, raises concerns to the appropriate level of management and keeps management informed of activities
- Presents management with the recommendations for resolving key and complex regional issues.
- Backup for Americas team and support Global Treasury operations
- Partner with regional controllership/external accounting offices to ensure smooth operations and support common goals.
- Obtaining and forwarding documentation/statements to Moody's Accounting, Internal Audit and external auditors, as requested
- Responding to ad-hoc AML (anti-money laundering) and sanction screening inquiries, both on a Moody's entity level and/or on a transactional level (e.g., client receipts and outgoing payments);
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline
- Minimum of five years of business experience in corporate treasury, cash management with increasing levels of responsibility
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Treasury Professional qualification would be a plus.
**Key Competencies**
- Familiarity with Treasury best practices
- Financial systems aptitude, including treasury management systems (Reval) would be a plus.
- Thinks critically and is able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions
- Able to work both self-directed as well as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
