Role Summary

**What you'll get to do**:

- Create high quality external facing technical content such as technical solution briefs, whitepapers, how-to videos, presentations, blogs, user guides, and reference architectures concerning customer use cases and Splunk offerings.
- Build self-guided demos, product tours, and other forms of technical content to drive awareness, consideration and demand.
- Define demo topics, create storyboards and build customer outcome-centric demo scripts for the Tech Sales team to clearly communicate the Splunk value proposition.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, aimed at Technical Sales, Industry Analysts and practitioner customers.
- Demonstrate how Splunk products address technical problems faced by our practitioner customers, including mapping of technical features/capabilities to real-world problems.
- Understand the challenges of our target security personas, translate Splunk offerings into use case-based solutions, present solutions, answer questions and gather feedback.
- Evangelize "how we do it" and "how we do it better" to explain our prescriptive GTM motion
- Deliver targeted enablement sessions for Marketing, Sales/SEs, and customers with original assets that drive home the value of Splunk products and resonate with our target personas

**Must-have Qualifications**:

- 7+ years demonstrated experience with security, threat prevention, and analytics software
- 5-7 proven experience in tech marketing or sales engineering including five years working with Splunk products, Splunk Architect preferred.
- Proven track record of marketing to a highly technical security audience within large organizations. You are comfortable working with and marketing to technical buyers. enterprises.
- Consistent record of marketing to a highly technical personas within large organizations. You relate to our to technical buyers and customers within enterprises.

**Nice-to-have Qualifications**:
We've taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves. "Nice-to-have" means just that: Nice. To. Have. So, don't worry if you can't check off every box. We're not hiring a list of bullet points-we're interested in the whole you.
- Excellent written and presentation skills. A TMM needs to be gifted in the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of media.
- Expertise and hands-on experience within Security (SIEM, SOAR, Threat Detection and Response) or Observability (Application Performance Monitoring, Infrastructure Monitoring, AIOps, Incident Management) or other DevOps tooling. Industry security certification: CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
