The role requires technical understanding of systems engineering knowledge including operating systems (Linux), configuration management, change management, security scans, vulnerability analysis and remediation.The position requires collaboration and partnering with many teams across the enterprise to ensure all systems are meeting the company's SLAs for vulnerability and government compliance.The position requires working in a team to formulate solutions to solve issues and problems in a timely manner to meet internal and government SLAs.**What you get to do in this role**:- Understand issues currently facing the environment and derive long term solutions.- Follow up those decisions with proper execution / tracking of the effort.- Partner with stakeholders and customers, help them understand the nuances of the infrastructure with respect to compliance and security.- Partner with external teams, such as compliance and security teams, to maintain high standards of security to satisfy federal mandates.- Create / Update / Enhance documentation and knowledge articles.- Review, consult and prepare for planned change introduction to ServiceNow environment.- Analyze the vulnerability scan results and fix them appropriately**Qualifications** To be successful in this role you have**:- 5+ years of related experience as System Engineer- Hands-on experience with large system designs and operations, preferable Linux- Experience with programming languages such as python- Solid understanding of systems engineering concepts and components- Experience in cloud environments, such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, or Google Cloud- Ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed.- Effective communication skills and empathy for customers.- Ability to learn about recent technologies in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to clarify ideas, problems, and solutions.- Strong coordination & troubleshooting skills in handling Complex Incidents & escalations.**Other skills that will be nice if you have them**:- DNS, Mail, Networking, System OS, Load Balancer, DB, etc.- Experience with security scanners results, vulnerabilities, and vulnerabilities resolutionJV20**Additional Information**ServiceNow is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
