The Sr. Mgr-SRM Risk and Controls role is part of the Procurement and Sourcing Group ("PSG") and is responsible for supporting the PSG operations and analytics team.
The role will lead the global and regional PSG projects for mergers & acquisitions and divestitures.
This will include tracking and support of due diligence and integration phases of the transactions and establishing consistent and repeatable integration processes, enhancing transparency and accountability and improving the integration experience for all parties.
This role is also responsible for delivering general PSG training to internal stakeholders and supporting supplier management and responsible sourcing initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support facilitation of PSG due diligence for mergers & acquisitions: initiate PSG Working Group and schedule weekly meetings; track completion of analysis by PSG functions including, but not limited to, Travel & Expense, Contracting, Contract review, OFAC screening, IT and Professional Services procurement
- Validate and summarize input from PSG functions to create PSG Due Diligence executive summary for review by PSG leadership
- At completion of due diligence and based upon findings, gather cost estimates across PSG functions to create expected PSG integration budget and review with PSG management for submission to Integration Management Office (if applicable)
- Upon closing of deals, mobilize PSG Integration working group: confirm participants with PSG sourcing leads/function managers and schedule weekly meetings (frequency may differ as needed dependent upon timelines)
- Build PSG integration project plan based on input from PSG functions and discussions at weekly meetings.
In developing the plan, various factors such as cost, complexity and local reporting and contracting regulations must be considered
- Provide timely integration status reports to PSG leadership and Integration Steering Committee as needed
- Based on learnings from each integration, provide input to implement tools and techniques to enhance the PSG integration processes and drive efficiency
- Support and develop partnership with PSG functions as well as other Moody's functions including Compliance, IT, Finance and Moody's business management to ensure PSG integration deliverables are consistent with Moody's policies
- Support development and maintenance of PSG M&A methodology, templates, and best practices
- Coordinate/deliver PSG training to internal partners as needed as well as acquired entities personnel
- Support the supplier management and responsible sourcing initiatives
- Must have a bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement operations, preferably with significant knowledge in one of more of the following areas: M&A Integration, Organizational Change Management, Business Adoption or Transformation
- Previous experience in Procurement Systems (e.g., Coupa), Procurement Operations and/or Procurement integration supporting Mergers & Acquisitions a strong plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
- Capable and confident communicator - excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, create overall communication plans
- Strong organizational skills, analytic skills, critical thinking and reasoning skills, and attention to detail
- A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
