**Position Summary**:
The Sr. Manager, GBS Shared Services Productivity & Performance Management will play a key leadership role in driving productivity and operational effectiveness and efficiency throughout GBS globally, across workstreams including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Customer Care. This role will also be key in setting a higher standard to drive metrics toward Insight/Foresight rather than Information/Hindsight and integrating data throughout GBS.
The individual will help support a governance program around Productivity across the global workstreams. The role will drive the overall governance model including setting and monitoring of productivity targets, definitions and calculation methodology. The objective would be to prepare Thermo Fisher to effectively & efficiently scale up to the company's 2030 vision of becoming a $50B revenue organization
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Governance Program on Productivity: Weekly Workstream meetings with Operations, PPI, Automation, IT and Process Leads across all workstreams (O2C, R2R, P2P, Customer Care)
- In coordination with Workstream leads, lead definition of savings/productivity targets and savings calculation methodology. Monitor realization of benefits, including tracking financial and qualitative results
- Align with Sr. Leadership on investment requirements for proposed productivity initiatives. Review return on investment (ROI) calculations and evaluate proposed benefit realization, including assessing confidence in value and timeline after accounting for level of risk
- Management of productivity measurement and visualization of Monthly/Quarterly productivity reporting, including the development of dynamic productivity tools/dashboard
- Define and drive activity mapping exercise for processes and time in motion for employees in current state and re-measure post productivity initiatives to track actual attainment of productivity targets
- Applies knowledge of operations and performance improvement to serve as a change agent; assimilates change in performance and practices. Champion the businesses' needs across the Centers, instilling and driving a culture of continuous performance improvement from the businesses' perspective
- Support Cost per Transaction calculations and measure against Internal & External Benchmarks; Conduct volumes analysis across workstreams
- Support Volume Analysis to assist with decision making & Find opportunities for Ideal Org design/structure for operations teams
**Minimum **Requirements/Qualifications**:
- 10+ years of progressive work experience in finance or accounting with 7+ years of experience in a shared services environment or in a consulting capacity
- Experience in a Productivity & Performance Management team/role would be a plus
- Project management skills/experience in a must
- Sense of urgency and creativity to handle project issues and adapt plan to meet objectives
- Analytical and problem solving capacities to synthesize large quantities of complex data to generate meaningful insights
- Proven ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership both internally and externally, and influence peers and senior management in a complex, geographically dispersed matrix organization
- Self-directed, dynamic and customer-centric change-agent who thrives in a challenging and changing environment
