As the Sr Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting, you will direct and support the development and configuration of product cost structures resulting in:
- Accurate inventory valuation according to GAAP across all legal entities and multiple ERP platforms
- Structured management P/L's for Commercial COGS, Operations and Allocations.
- Enhanced overall product cost capabilities
- Enabled accurate product margin visibility
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the inventory valuation function
- Manage day to day operations of the existing inventory valuation function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis
- Development and maintenance of standard costs
- Perform the monthly closing activities for inventory and functional support
- Proactive analysis of costs and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management for margin improvement
- Define policies and procedures for all inventory valuation activities
- Manage reserves for inventory
- Role expects to be able to coordinate cross functional resources and knowledge to achieve desired objective
- Regular interaction (weekly/daily) with the rest of the ISC finance leadership. This includes providing key feedback on processes, expertise on both cost accounting & Operations
- Role plays a role in product costing organization and expected to drive process excellence and helping to set direction for improvements in the function.
- Role is expected to possess the end to end view of product costing. To be effective in the role, it requires adequate ERP & financial system knowledge, operational and financial acumen to drive value
