**Summary**:
The Operational Excellence Senior Engineer as part of the OpEx team, is responsible in enabling, guiding and supporting the OpEx deployment strategy at the Plant.
This will involve strategy deployment, workshop creation and facilitation, coaching on problem solving, the use of lean and six sigma tools and basic statistical analysis wrapped in a project management framework This individual should have very good business acumen; interpersonal, and communication skills.
This position reports to the Operational Excellence Manager.
This position is responsible for the execution of the OPEX strategy and ensuring an effective implementation and objectives accomplishment.
This person needs to be a coach and enabler of the continuous improvement culture.
The position requires strategic planning, business acumen, initiative and engagement to execute its duties.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
1- Be an active player on the OpEx deployment strategy at the site.
2- Be a leader and enabler of the OpEx and Plant deployment strategy at the site.
3- Work as change agent and drive the continuous improvement cultural transformation.
4- Coach and assist on resolving priorities and achieving results.
Oriented toward value added process improvements.
5- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (EMS, Certification Programs, ICare and others) for waste elimination and
reducing process variations through Kaizens and problem solving workshops, assessments and trainings.
6- Lead the Value Improvement Program, by identifying and helping other areas in the execution of the projects to accomplish yearly
targets.
7- Identifies areas of improvement for complex plant opportunities.
Works closely with plant staff to drive changes and improvements
that impact the bottom line results on Quality, Service, Delivery and Cost.
8- Deliver improvement projects through the completion and benefits realization.
**Education and Experience**:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study.
- Must have 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing areas.
- Green Belt or Lean Training/Certification required.
- Black Belt training/Certification highly desirable.
