**Position Summary**:
The Sr Director, Business Services and Program Enablement, will be accountable for the definition and execution of a global SSC enablement strategy that supports the expansion and the operational excellence of our shared services globally. The job holder will lead a global program office, supporting business-critical initiatives. In this capacity they will work closely with senior leaders of different Thermo Fisher groups and corporate functions in defining and implementing transition of work to Shared Services. The job holder will lead all SSC support functions, enabling customer-centric, and effective operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Program Enablement**: Define and develop value case and roadmap, program and enabling technology planning, operating model development, workforce transition planning in alignment to the company's strategic objectives. Identify program risks and opportunities and measures their potential impact against project objectives, ensuring the mitigation actions are implemented to full effect. Partner with business leaders to provide thought leadership on opportunities to deliver improvements in cost, service delivery and cash by using Shared Services.

**Reporting, Analytics, and Insights**: Develop and implement a consistent reporting and performance management capability across Global SSC, working closely with the respective Workstream Leads, ensuring standard metrics are available to drive performance and improvement. Establish formal operating mechanisms to ensure highly effective partner engagement via targeted metrics, insights, actions.

**Business Process Outsource (BPO) relationship management**: Owns and drives the Business Relationship with our 3rd party service provider. Responsible for driving successful delivery and continuous improvement of outsourced services and representing the BPO organization to Business Unit Leadership, Divisional Leadership, and other partners.

**Controls and compliance**: Define, drive, and complete the internal controls environment and practices across all SSC globally. Set the framework of action to ensure that operational objectives are sufficiently met under appropriate controls and segregation of duties. Build the culture of Control and compliance across shared services, enable that all our people complete their jobs with a compliance-mindset every day, with special focus on GDPR compliance.

**Change management, Communications, and Training**: Lead these activities within Shared Services as well as across multiple divisions for service migration initiatives. Define and drive internal communication and employee involvement initiatives, drive external communications and employer branding activities. Define and deliver the learning and knowledge retention strategy for our Shared Services globally, ensuring that our function possess necessary capabilities and skills to meet current and future business performance ambitions. Work in partnership with Corporate Talent teams to promote and bring to bear corporate learning programs.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

Strong social skills in English; ability to partner, present and facilitate to audiences at all levels of the business globally.
