**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Structural Heart business unit - our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
**What You'll Do**
- Maintain, coordinate and/or execute method & time studies, capacity analysis and line balancing.
- Maintain, coordinate and/or calculate business unit direct labor needs to support year-over-year demands and to establish direct labor standards in coordination with the finance and operations teams.
- Coordinate business unit overall layout administration including space utilization optimization analysis for the short and long term. May lead Site Master Plan and Layout Changes Control Forums intended to accomplish a strategic and tactic control of space and capacity utilization of the site and/or business unit
- Lead business unit layout change assessment forums. Lead layout changes that enable growth, space utilization and flow improvements.
- Generate models and/or scenarios for Direct Labor Headcount requirements and volume rates that support the best optimal cost structure for the business
- Coordinate business unit overall layout administration including space utilization optimization analysis for the short and long term. May lead Site Master Plan and Layout Changes Control Forums intended to accomplish a strategic and tactic control of space and capacity utilization of the site and/or business unit
- Leads and facilitates tactical process improvement projects in the business unit, delivering tactical results in conjunction with site goals and objectives.
- Evaluate business processes and determine initiatives that will yield greater productivity and efficiency to enable growth.

**Required **Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of working experience in manufacturing/operations similar roles
- Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Computer software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio, Minitab, AutoCad).
- Experience with Operational Excellence and continuous improvement methodologies. Such as lean manufacturing techniques, value stream mapping, or similar.
- Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and ISO guidelines is required.
- Experience leading root cause problem solving methodologies following DMAIC principles or similar
- Experience in project management involving coordination of cross-functional teams.
**Preferred **Qualifications**
- 5 years prior experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or Project management certifications
- Experience managing and leading teams and executing performance management
