**Your role at Baxter**
This position will be in charge of recording, reconciliation and tracking of the activities mainly related to Payroll and Opex & regional accrual processes for LATAM and UCAN entities. In addition, prepare reports for the businesses and corporate in their month end results analysis, as well as develop a role to support activities as needed. External and internal audit support; statutory information among others customer requirements such as external audit & local for Americas and active participation in different projects and business initiatives will be part of the responsibilities for this position. Will also support the supervisor and manager in different team activities or company requirements.
**What you'll be doing**
- Perform month end close activities such as JE posting, pre reconciliation, special entries/processes and any other support required during MEC (Flux analysis).
- Work closely with collaborators and local Country Finance Leaders to understand, explain, and detail key variance drivers, as well as standardization and process improvement/process efficiencies related to the payroll.
- Communicate and follow up on balancing differences
- Maintain accurate monthly task list and complete according to the task list; own accounting conclusions and accurate US GAAP accounting for all owned tasks.
- Deliver all internal and external audit requirements.
- Propose, develop, participate, and lead projects related to process improvements.
- Ensure the accurate accounting for supplemental accounts.
**What you'll bring**
- Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar background.
- 3+ years' experience in similar position
- English knowledge (B2+)
- Work experience in general accounting processes and implementation projects (all stages)
- Strong ERP knowledge (JDE, SAP, Oracle), JDE is a plus
- Advance/Proficient Excel skills (macros or visual basic is a plus)
- Working with simplification/reporting tools such as Cognos, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, etc is a plus.
