**Role Overview**:
As a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server databases. Collaborating closely with our development and operations teams, you will optimize queries, manage deadlocks, and maintain the overall health of our database systems. Your expertise in T-SQL and query execution plans will be critical in achieving our performance goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** **Database Management**: Maintain and administer SQL Server databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- ** Query Optimization**: Analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to enhance database performance.
- ** Execution Plans**:Read and adjust queries based on query execution plans to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- ** Deadlock Resolution**: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deadlocks in the database to maintain smooth operations.
- ** Monitoring and Maintenance**: Implement and manage database monitoring tools and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure database health and performance.
- ** Backup and Recovery**: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and ensure business continuity.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs and projects.
- ** Documentation**: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience: Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
- English B2+ or C1 level required.
- Must live in a Latin American country.
**Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL and query optimization techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret query execution plans.
- Experience in identifying and resolving database deadlocks.
- Familiarity with Redgate tools.
- Familiarity with database monitoring and maintenance tools.
