What this job involves
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Sourcing Lead to join our team:
**Location**: La Rivera de Belén, Heredia, Costa Rica.

**Work schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

**Work model**: Hybrid.

**Contract Type**: Indefinite-term.

The Sourcing Lead is responsible for leading effective sourcing strategies for services procurement in the procurement department. This role involves identifying and managing strategic suppliers, negotiating contracts and supply agreements, and collaborating with various areas of the organization.

While there may be no direct team management involved, the Sourcing Lead plays a crucial role in optimizing the procurement function and achieving organizational goals.

What is your day to day?
**Develop sourcing strategies**: Identify the company's service procurement needs and develop effective sourcing strategies for selecting strategic suppliers, particularly in Latin American countries such as Argentina, Peru, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Panama, and Mexico.

**Supplier evaluation and selection**: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers in the mentioned countries. Select suppliers that best fit the company's needs in terms of quality, cost, and supply capacity.

**Negotiate contracts and supply agreements**: Collaborate with selected suppliers from Latin American countries to negotiate optimal contracts and supply agreements that ensure the best value for money and meet the company's business and legal requirements.

**Supplier management and monitoring**: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers from Latin America, effectively managing any issues or conflicts that may arise. Regularly monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as necessary.

**Market analysis and trends**: Conduct research and market analysis specific to Latin American countries, staying informed about the latest trends and practices in services sourcing. Utilize this knowledge to continuously improve sourcing strategies and maximize benefits for the company.

**Internal collaboration**: Work closely with other internal teams such as Finance, Legal, Operations, and Human Resources to ensure sourcing strategies for Latin American countries align with the overall goals and needs of the company.

**Compliance and risk management**: Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal and external regulations and policies in the mentioned countries. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain in these regions.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant experience of at least 5 years in procurement or sourcing, with a specific focus on services sourcing.
Strong knowledge of the market and trends in services sourcing in Latin America.
Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable agreements for the company.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data and metrics in decision-making.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with suppliers and various internal teams.
Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices in Latin American countries is a plus.
