Who We're Looking For
This position provides centralized supplier management and administration for the organization. This includes, reviewing contracts for appropriate business terms and contract terms, conducting vendor negotiations, contract management, risk mitigation activities and end user support activities.
Some of What You'll Do
- Conduct contract facilitation process for highly complex contracts
- Execute contracts in a timely method with appropriate legal support to ensure compliance with company standards
- Perform risk mitigating and identify business issues
- Ensure appropriate guidelines are followed and/or SME input is obtained throughout the process (e.g., privacy, finance, international and domestic taxation, customs and trade, information security, systems quality, software asset management and other SMEs)
- Ensure key agreements and contracts are reviewed by peers and superiors to protect and advance the company's interest
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable the procurement contracting process and ensure excellence in contract management
- Identify points of escalation and interface with Strategy, Legal, Security and other relevant stakeholders regarding contracting and procurement policy and related operational questions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives towards an industry-leading contracting capability within Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Participate in training to provide opportunities for professional development and further expansion of contracting skillsets
- Partner with functional / regional category teams to maintain effective contracting procedures and ensure adherence to regional/global category strategies
**Requirements**:
- Strong management and financial experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various departments, and organize complex information
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and leadership skills
- Broad understanding of IT technology platforms and the terms used to describe the technology
- Deep understanding of software license metrics
- Ability to comprehend contract language to determine how to properly quantify license consumption and assess overall compliance
- Strong working knowledge of Vendor/Supplier relations
- Strong negotiation skills and influence management
- Strong Business Process Management skills
- Effective problem solving skills
- Awareness of general accounting principles
- Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Has initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player willing both to steer the team towards success and to fully support the team when others are steering
- Recognizes there is a problem and escalates or informs the resources who can address the problem
- Able to analyze data, draw conclusions and make decisions
- Excellent skills in Word, MS Project, SharePoint and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas etc.)
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English both oral and written skills
- Technology Experience: SAP, ADDM and other asset management tools
- Special Skills / Preferences:
- Telecom Industry experience preferred
- Understand Procure to Pay process and financial control
- Management and financial experience
- Education / Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of experience.
