Contract Process Owner and Contract Remediation Lead will own the Citi Global Sourcing (CGS) processes and tools related to legal engagement, contracting controls and contract remediation activities.
They will also provide leadership for the contract disposition/ remediation team.
The position owns and maintains sourcing legal engagement and contract disposition process, tools, documentation, training, leads second and third line (audit) reviews and related Issues and Corrective Action Plans.
The role's main clients are the sourcing leaders, their teams and risk areas from the businesses that require contract remediation.
The role holder will endeavor to run the team with a mandate of maximum efficiency, process control and excellent client services.
**Responsibilities**:

- End-to-End Process and tool design, implementation, improvement, maintenance and training, related to legal engagement, contract terms and contract dispositioning (Global Operating Procedures (GOP), RMO Central).
Processes and tools to be designed to be intuitive and require mínimal training.
- Oversee engagement with Citi legal team, maintenance of contract templates including purchase order terms and Contract Review Checklist procedure and SharePoint tool through engagement with TPU.
- Ensure the RMO's procedures are adhered to when dispositioning contracts (dispositioning being to sign a contract amendment with the supplier to bring the contract to Citi standard or to obtain the required Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance and business approvals)
- Oversee Contract Review Checklist and contract disposition data quality program (control, reporting and training).
- Leadership for Audits and auditor questions and evidence provision, management of Issues & Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Own and lead the Third Party Management process for contracting including compliance reporting.
- Lead interactions with Third Party Risk teams including Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Third Party Utility (TPU), represent CGS in TP-ROC risk forum to assess process changes to ensure that any impact on sourcing is assessed, challenged and managed so that it is effective and efficient including any implementation.
- Ensure that contract disposition team members are trained satisfactorily in RMO procedures.
Create guidance and training for sourcing managers, business user, Contract Review checklist SMEs.
- Monitor the work of the contract disposition team to ensure that all work is done in a controlled manner, mitigating risks and taking corrective actions promptly
- Resolve issues encountered in contract disposition by working with the appropriate sector sourcing team, escalate non-compliant actions by colleagues.
- Run an efficient and effective contract Quality Control process to help guarantee that contracts disposition is compliant.
- Closely manage regulatory/Citi standards projects where Sourcing is tasked with remediation projects in order to enable RMO to satisfy these regulatory/Citi standards requirements
- Develop staff so that team members are a potential pipeline for more senior roles and other sourcing positions.
- Utilize tools including GEP and DocuSign Insight and work with legal and third parties to implement the most effective and cost-efficient contract review and contract disposition solutions available in the market
- Identify, syndicate and implement productivity improvements to contract processing
- Collaborate with RMO Risk & Control and Citi Second line partners to establish and manage processes focused on meeting regulatory and policy requirements, strengthening controls and compliance.
**Skills and Experience**:

- Strong understanding of key commercial and legal contract terms and conditions.
- Strong Relationship management (domestic & international marketplace), contractual management, negotiations, supplier management, working closely with legal and compliance teams and governance
- Excellent oral and verbal communications skills
- Ability to engage and persuade managers and executives so as to close the gap between client expectations and provider capabilities
- Strong process and compliance management
- Top-notch ability to manage an operational process, utilizing metrics to identify/implement improvement opportunities and identify/address process or control weaknesses
- Experience in Contracting Operations roles, with focus of data, quality & prior experience with process improvement & change management

**Requirements**:

- 8+ years sourcing and/or contracting experience
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with and influence senior sourcing and business clients, as well as senior supplier representatives
- Experience working in or managing an operations team would be helpful
- Proven ability to manage a global team
- Potential locations of Costa Rica or Tampa
