ROLE SUMMARY
The Source to Contract (or other) Associate role drives execution to support all S&ES capabilities.
They are responsible for enabling exceptional value creation through the support of all S&ES capabilities: policy, processes, technology, cross-category support, and other enabling programs.
They are responsible for effective execution of policy development, manage ongoing maintenance / compliance and S&ES technology platforms.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing & Contracting Process Support
- Support the timely execution of cross-category (S2C) responsibilities in alignment with business objectives
- Provide support to the activities on centralized operational support for S&ES sourcing processes and events along with execution and storage of S&ES contracts
- Support the development of RFXs, which may include Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs) or Request for Information (RFIs) including the eSourcing capability
- Support the supplier due diligence activities such as conducting market research and supplier assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities, reliability, and capacity
- Support the activities on internal stakeholder communication on RFX to potential suppliers and respond to supplier inquiries
- Support the execution of all relevant documentation, such as contracts and purchase orders
- Support team to manage spend categories by validating savings forms, verifying small/diverse suppliers, and conducting opportunity assessment and target setting process
- Create a library of standard contract templates, clauses, and terms and conditions that can be easily adapted to meet specific business needs under the supervision of S&ES leadership
- Analyze data related to sourcing activities and providing insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making
S&ES Capability Support (Policy, Processes, Technology, etc.)
- Build reports on the business performance and financial management of the S&ES Enablement team
- Contribute to activities on business reviews with suppliers to track performance
- Conduct research for the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to sourcing, procurement, and vendor management and provide regular updates to the leadership
- Build financial reports in line with S&ES needs
- Support the implementation of technology solutions to improve sourcing processes and may involve working with IT teams to implement new systems, and providing training and support to end-users
Source to Contract
- Typically operates in a predominantly operational manner
- Typically manages S&ES technology scope of medium complexity
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of Source to Contract processes
- Ability to implement process improvement opportunities under the guidance of leadership
- Ability to build training and business review material under guidance
- Experience of operating in environment of changing priorities and fast-paced dynamic requirements
- Experience with SAP Ariba suite of tools, particularly:
- Ariba eSourcing
- Ariba Contract Workbench
- or similar Enterprise Procurement Software
- Experience working in a team setting
- Strong communications skills
- English language fluency
Experience
- Typical Years of Experience: Up to 2 years of experience with diverse teams supporting regional / global operations
- Experience with SAP Ariba suite of tools (Contract Workbench, eSourcing) or similar Enterprise Procurement Software
- Experience of building business review report with suppliers to track performance
- Experience of processing documentation such as contracts and purchase orders
- Experience of tracking data related to sourcing activities
Knowledge
- Knowledge of key processes in source to contract initiatives
- Basic knowledge of centralized operational support for S&ES sourcing, contracting, and savings processes and events
- Comfort with workflow ticketing systems (ex. Fuse)
- Basic analytical skills and comfort with standard MS Office tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
- Basicn knowledge of various systems such as sourcing platforms, vendor management systems, and e-procurement tools
- Basic knowledge of building reports
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Sourcing or contracting experience related to the following strategic categories: Packaging, Contract Manufacturing, Construction/Facility/MRO, IT, Professional Services, R&D, Marketing & Media, Direct Materials
- Life Sciences-Procurement related experience
