**About the role**
We are seeking a Software Tester to add to our reporting team to ensure that our reports are reliable, accurate and stable. As a Test Engineer you will analyse requirements, build test plans, and execute tests.
You will ensure the product is tested thoroughly in a clean, consistent, repeatable manner for products developed in C#.NET Core, PostgreSQL, React, and React Native. You will use your strong interpersonal skills and background in quality to ensure our software is delivered working properly and on schedule. You will be comfortable communicating issues, concerns, failures, and successes to leadership and the rest of the team and will be capable of working with peers to address defects with strong regard for risk and customer satisfaction.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Ownership of product epics from a quality perspective
- Write and execute tests at a user story and epic level
- Work as the dedicated tester for a development team helping to groom stories and ensure user stories are written with quality in mind
- Break the software in new an interesting way
- Write and champion software defects
- Become an expert user of our software
- Work with team to maintain and organize test repository
- Work with team to evaluate test cases to automate.
- 5+ year's experience in Software Quality
- Experience with Snowflake DB
- Self motivated
- Outgoing, strong communicator
- Demonstrable knowledge of software quality concepts
- Experience with Jira
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to use administrative tools like office suite, test management software, etc.
- Experience using SQL to perform queries/analysis on database systems
- Experience working with or creating Power BI reports
**A strong preference for**:
- Experience testing SaaS products
- Experience working with Azure
- Experience creating and/or testing Power BI
- Power BI Automation experience including tools like BI Validator
- Experience with the following tools: Allure Testops, Postman
