Job Description Job description As a senior member of the Application Operations Team, your initial task will be to understand application architecture, provide observability, identify efficiency and stability solutions, and drive resolution for a subset of Experian Consumer Service's 24/7 SaaS applications.
You'll be embedded in various development teams to understand how the system is changing while acquiring the necessary domain knowledge to identify gaps and document workflows as well as build monitors for these services.
This information will be used to coordinate with Operations, Security, and Quality Assurance teams, among others, to raise awareness and increase stability.
This position requires a holistic approach to troubleshooting and an innate need to optimize, harden, and automate tasks to prevent and recover from outages or other customer issues.
What you'll be doing: Responsibilities: • Able to work independently and offer insights and analysis on existing services.
• Understand full stack workflow and assist in documentation.
• Verify, validate, and build monitors for services.
• Performance considerations are second nature.
• Works effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Participates in the estimates for projects based on interface wireframes/desired functionality.
• Research emerging topics related to assigned tasks.
• Participates in all pertinent project meetings.
• Provides appropriate research to support business and information technology groups within the organization.
• Advises on options, impact on other business processes, and system priorities.
• Prioritizes assigned tasks and keeps the manager up-to-date on status and roadblocks Qualifications Qualifications • Experience with cloud development on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with services including API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Fargate, Dynamo DB and Aurora DB.
• 5-8 years working experience in software development.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk • Experience with cloud development on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with services including API Gateway, • Strong knowledge of software development and project management methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of architecture and design fundamentals with design patterns, data structures and application scalability/reliability.
