Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and engineer training systems, databases, and other tools to support employee training and development
- Develop and maintain a new training records system (TRS)
- Implement enhancements to the learning management system (LMS)
- Collaborate with IT, People, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration and interoperability of training systems with other business systems
- Conduct testing and quality assurance on training systems to ensure they meet quality standards and learning objectives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training systems and make recommendations for improvements
- Provide technical support for users of training systems
- Manage projects and timelines for training system development and implementation
- Perform data entry and ongoing system administration tasks, such as updating content, user management, and system backups
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in database engineering, multimedia engineering, and/or training system engineering
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL
- Familiarity with data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with SMEs, stakeholders, and other team members
Desired:
- Experience with system integrations, such as API development and data exchange between systems
- Experience with system architecture and design, as well as project management methodologies
- Knowledge of learning management system (LMS) standards such as SCORM, AICC, and Tin Can API (xAPI)
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
