Job Description The Experian Automotive team is looking for a Software Development Manager who will lead and manage a team of software developers. They will play a key role in guiding the team in designing, creating, optimizing and testing custom software solutions. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for the team overseeing the maintenance of software projects, as well as collaborating with cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives. The Software Development Manager will coordinate team members, allocate resources and streamline processes to ensure all deliverables are met within the given timeline. Lead development team to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products to our clients Work with developers to ensure they have what they need to complete the job and help remove any roadblocks Work with the QA team, when needed (in conjunction with the developers), to help with any questions or concerns Work with Project Managers to plan out future jobs for the team and ensure job requirements fit with what the team can do Gather and interpret specs from Client or Salesperson and architect custom solutions that solve clients' problems in a compliant manner Anticipate change management requirements and ensure appropriate knowledge transfer, training and deployment readiness Lead re-architecture of existing on-prem applications to AWS Communicate and explain technical/architectural decisions from other teams within Auto business unit to the developers Drive continual improvement in quality and efficiency, as well as suggest and adopt improvements to technology and efficiency Lead and mentor junior members on the team This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica.

Qualifications University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field 8+ years of working experience in software development environment 5+ years in a team leader or a manager position Experience working with big data, as well as regulated data Extensive knowledge of SQL Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects Strong problem-solving skills of different complexities required Excellent proactive communications and planning skills Proven successful technical leadership of development projects Strong people management and interpersonal skills Excellent coaching and mentoring skills Ability to prioritize and manage own time, as well as the team's time Additional Information Culture at Experian Our uniqueness is that we truly value yours.
