**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- This role is in the IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software Business Unit, Data and AI organization.
You will become a member of a software engineering squad responsible for designing, developing and testing a significant functional area of the Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) product offering.
FTM is a transactional system, supporting the requirements of the banking and financial services industry by promoting an efficient, predictable and secure exchange of payment information.
- As a member of a high-performing squad, you will design and develop payment handling software for the IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) suite of product offerings.
You will use and grow your demonstrated java skills, as well as your understanding of Cloud and OpenShift Container Platform technology, to implement new features and standards on FTM as it keeps pace with the rapidly changing financial industry.
Since FTM is a transactional system with large-scale, high-performance data processing requirements, your database experience will be an asset.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- 2 plus years' java programming experience
- 2 plus years' experience with UI or a combination of secure backend messaging and transactional database skills
- Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Demonstrated experience with OpenShift Container Platform.
- 4 years software development experience.
