**Your Role and Responsibilities**
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services
- Build relationships & work with customers to help them resolve their issues or queries
- Maintain the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the platform, including being an active participant in incident response and incident management, which may include being on-call
- Automate and optimize processes using tools like Ansible, Rundeck, Python, Bash, Powershell, Instana, New Relic, SysDig, LogDNA, Kubernetes, Github, and Jira
- Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
- Help to define, implement and maintain security policies related to compliance requirements.
- Conducting system audits and/or hosting third-party audits to maintain certifications/compliance.
- Balancing feature development velocity and reliability with well-defined SLOs
- Partner with development teams to improve services via rigorous testing and release procedures
- Accountable for maintaining the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the platform
- Perform vulnerability scanning, risk analysis and security assessments to detect product vulnerabilities.
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- 4+ Years of experience in IT Industry
- Source and project control (GitHub Enterprise, ZenHub, Jira)
- Monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, QRadar, New Relic, Instana, SysDig, logDNA)
- Continuous Integration platforms (Jenkins, Terraform, TeamCity, Travis CI)
- Familiarity with load balancing, geo routing, and proxying
- Networking - Firewalls and Load Balancing (Vyatta, StrongSwan)
- DB2, MSSQL, NoSQL databases, key-stores and other data-structure solutions (MongoDB, Redis)
Scripting languages (Ruby, Python, PERL, Shell)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Rundeck)
- Virtualization and Container orchestration (Xen, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Relentless drive to eliminate toil through automation and creating self-healing systems
