The Game Developer Experience team within GEO has the goal to deliver the world's best game development tools and services, from Xbox to PC to cloud. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated software engineer to advance the state of the art for game development across Microsoft's gaming ecosystem.
More on our mission: Modern games, and the gaming ecosystem overall, are only getting larger and more complex. To push ever higher with great interactive content, game studios need rich and flexible tools that give them full control over every stage of game development. You will help craft the developer tools that empower game creators to build, measure and perfect amazing games for console, desktop, and cloud. You will also work closely with industry leaders across hardware, software, and services, including game studios and middleware providers. You will be a key part of how game development evolves going forward.

- Deliver high quality, testable and reliable code in a production setting.
- Investigate, diagnose, and fix product issues in development and production.
- Provide high quality design and code review feedback for peers.

- Coach and mentor peers to continually raise the skills and culture of the team.
**Qualifications**:
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional coding experience in C/C++, C#.
- Proficient in front-end development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work on a large codebase and willing to take on a wide variety of challenges.
- Proficient in English - both written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working independently in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Motivated to learn and push the boundaries in challenging technical domains.
- Experience with the game development industry and game studio workflows a plus, but not required.
