**JOB SUMMARY**
Technical requirements:

Principal function:
Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing opportunities with significant revenue potential for hotels. Manages wholesale and electronic channel sales opportunities. Actively upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunities. Achieve personal and team-related income goals. Follow up to ensure product and service are delivered as booked. Responsible for driving customer/guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer/guest experience. Provides service to clients to grow the account on behalf of the company.
Specific Responsibilities:
Understand market opportunities and generate income
- Targets accounts, marketplaces or wholesale, electronic channel or travel agency segments, with a strong emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation. - Partner with team counterparts above ownership to effectively manage the business opportunity. - Responds to incoming wholesaler/travel agency opportunities for the property. - Manages all extranets to ensure content is up to date, information is loaded and displayed correctly. - Identifies, qualifies and solicits new group/transient businesses to achieve personal and property income goals. - Focus efforts on accounts with significant sales revenue potential. - Develops effective sales plans and actions. - Audit websites to validate that content is up to date and ensure high visibility for hotels. - Maximize revenue by selling additional packages. - Understands the market in general: the strengths and weaknesses of competitors, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and knows how to sell to them. - Closes the best opportunities for each property based on market conditions and individual property needs. - Uses negotiation skills and creative sales skills to close deals and negotiate contracts. - Create packages, coordinating with the operations and revenue teams to provide a successful stay.
Provide exceptional customer service
- Manages complex businesses with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations. - Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, fam trips, trade shows, etc. - Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for catering/group sales opportunities. - Supports the brand's relationship and service strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout every customer experience. - Provide excellent customer service to increase account engagement. - Executes the Customer Service Standards of the brand and the Brand Standards of the property. - Executes and supports the Customer Service Standards of the business and the Brand Standards of the property. - Participate and practice the basics of the brand's daily service. - Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting and ensuring satisfaction before and throughout the end user's stay. - Serves the client by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty with the property and the brand. - Gains understanding of service expectations and the property's primary target customer; Serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer a better business solution both before and during the stay.
