As a Senior Procurement Specialist / Associate Procurement Manager in Global Procurement Services in Poland, you'll collaborate across our diverse areas to shape how we source at AstraZeneca and help to build category strategies; driving ethical standards, achieving our sustainability aims and ensuring diversity of suppliers. Together we help our functions to deliver, playing our part in achieving AstraZeneca's ambitions and shaping the future of the healthcare industry.

**TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Managing the end-to-end Source to Contract process. In this role you will be
- Instrumental in supporting the Global Category Managers with implementing the strategies to ensure successful delivery against category targets.
- Execute the process of sourcing, entering every day into negotiations and agreeing new contracts.
- We push further - making sure the contractual obligations are followed through, with supplier performance and contract management. Unlike other companies, we govern both commercial and legal teams, building up our skills in these specialist areas.
- With end to end thinking and a long-term mindset we are empowering the organisation to influence the market and promote the behaviours we want to drive - from ethical standards, to supplier diversity.
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE**:
- Degree level or equivalent qualifications
- Significant experience in similar environment in global or regional procurement function, supply chain or compliance/legal function with the focus on indirect categories;
- Understanding of contract lifecycle, legal parameters, legally binding agreements with the focus on indirect categories;
- Leading procurement projects that are aligned with enterprise-wide business/Procurement needs;
- Excellent English communication skills (Polish is not a must);
- Background experience of working collaboratively across teams;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization and externally with suppliers;
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills;
- Excellent Project Management skills to effectively manage projects on behalf of the team;
- Analytical and financial skills - demonstrating a good understanding of benchmarking tools, being able to provide quantitative and qualitative supplier summaries of the advantages and disadvantage of the proposals. Including a good understanding of working with, and presenting percentages and currency differences.
**DESIRABLE**:
- Background operating in a similar complex, matrix, global organization like AstraZeneca or similarly heavily regulated industry;
- HR Services / Professional Services / Facility Management / Lab Services/CAPEX expertise or similar;
- Experience with JAGGAER or any other sourcing / contracting tool
