The Senior Manager, GBS Global Process Record to Report will play a key leadership role, in defining and driving end-to-end optimal process design efforts across the Record to Report (R2R) workstream.
This role will also be responsible for collaborating with Accounting Operations, Group/Division controllers, Compliance, Internal Audit, PPI, Automation, IT and other key stakeholders within the Finance organization to ensure effective and efficient process operations and identification and leverage of cross-process synergies.
This role serves as a key enabler to our R2R productivity targets and will partner with a range of stakeholders including, GBS Shared Services Operations, IT, PPI and Automation.
Key Responsibilities:
The Process owner will be responsible for the following activities for Record to Report.
- Own and manage the end-to-end process taxonomy for Record to Report
- Partner with workstream leaders across the GBS Shared Service Centers to drive sustainable end-to-end process improvements globally that align with business strategy
- Establish and maintain an appropriate accounting control environment within GBS Shared Services Operations
- Participate in Productivity Governance Program including weekly workstream meetings along with Operations, PPI, Automation, and IT
- Drive global deployment and adoption of a standard end-to-end process within and across Shared Service Centers whilst minimizing the requirement for customization as required
- Collaborate with the Operations teams to ensure resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems
- Supports the existing design and future enhancements of Enabling Technology through business and technology partner engagement while standardizing technology and where feasible, processes across business platforms
- Assess and articulate business requirements, analyzes design options and proactively seek out and assess process simplification and standardization opportunities
- Oversee Process Design and communicates with process users
- Support the stabilization of processes post go-live
- Is the focal point for requested deviations, and has the authority to approve changes in the process if the changes are required
- Identifies gaps and issues that prohibit efficient and effective use of the business process to support business requirements across all constituencies
- Review key performance indicators with management functions at least monthly.
Identify and track the root cause of service deficiencies and monitor activities executed for service remediation
- Leads the identification of process improvements
- Remedies deficiencies or improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the business process for which they are responsible

Skills Required:
- 10-12 years of progressive work experience in finance, accounting with 3-5 years within a Shared Service structure process
- "Roll up your sleeves" and can-do attitude, energetic, forward-thinking leader with strong ability to multi-task & collaborate.
Excellent business acumen - making the right calls at the right time
- Focuses on the big picture and is able to drill into the detail and understand the impact.
Understands how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance
- Demonstrated ability to partner with key technology stakeholders and external vendors on large technology implementations.
Experience with large complex and cross organization projects
- Ability to engage with, provide guidance to, and quickly affect change across other teams/departments; ability to maintain collective motivation throughout the project
- Leadership, negotiation, interpersonal and strategic planning skills necessary to facilitate change and interact with senior management, division management, and business unit partners
