**About the job Senior IBM Sterling Engineer**:
**Responsabilities**:

- Collaborate with product management team and technology peers to support current and future business requirements
- Contribute towards design by creating technical specifications documents
- Perform hands-on development, build unit test cases. Resolve bugs found during QA testing and UAT
- Work on performance tuning, code reviews and test strategies
- Implement standards and best practices for software development
- Promote API based integrations strategy and microservices based architecture
- Remove blockers, and ensure on time delivery of projects while maintaining quality

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent academic achievement or equivalent experience
- At least five (5) years of IBM Sterling development experience
- Experience in Java programming, SOAP/REST Web Services, messaging, and event-based architecture
- Experience with Shell Scripts, JSON, and JMS compliant queues
- Experience in XML, XML parsers, and XSL
- Experience in customizing Sterling UIs: Order Hub and Call center
- Experience of using SOAP UI, Postman, LDAP Clients, Source control utilities, Packaging and Build tools
- Experience working with Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server databases
- Experience of working in Agile and Scrum teams
- Knowledge of DevSecOps in creating available, survivable, defensible, and resilient software.
- Commitment to learning new technologies, completing training, acquiring certifications and being an impact player
- Problem solving, analysis and ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Track record of delivering results within established timelines
- Strong communication skills and experience of working with diverse and remotely distributed teams
