Provide support on the analytical, forecasting, month end and variance analysis reporting and Ad Hoc projects based on business needs
- Provide intermediate/advance support to the preparation of the monthly reports and variance analysis that will help identify key focus areas for management, in a timely manner
- Provide intermediate/advance support to the input of forecast and budget projections and adjustments into Moody's financial reporting system
- Provide intermediate/advance support to business planning processes and deliverables: forecast, budget, 5 year strategic plan, etc. Deliver driver based presentational outputs for discussion with senior management
- Partner with the local, regional and global contacts and communicate effectively with the business to foster good working relationships with the rest of the organization
- Provide support on the development of new reporting solutions and identifying key focus areas for management
- Recommend and implement best practices for enhancements to current processes and reporting, including identifying area's for productivity and driving the standardization of activities across business planning to harness efficiencies
- Conduct financial KPIs analysis, compare anticipated and actual results, conduct thorough research of historical financial data and trends to identify and recommend areas of improvement to offer value added insights into drivers
- Develop and update financial models to assist in strategic initiatives and support critical decisions through financial projections and KPIs
- Provide informal guidance or on the job training to other team members
- Collaborate in special projects as assigned by Finance management
- Studying towards post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other quantitative field (e.g. MBA, CPA/CA, CIMA, ACCA)
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning or equivalent. Analysis processes, modelling, business intelligence tools, and data science experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal & written english skills
- Detail and data quality oriented and capable to summarize and effectively communicate findings/analysis to senior stakeholder management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferably: Office 365), financial modeling and related financial systems
- Advanced analytical decision-making, and problem-solving skills

- The Senior Financial Analyst has the responsibility of providing intermediate and advanced support through all phases of the financial planning and analysis processes, including business partnering and working on cross functional projects. The SFA is a detail-oriented and strategically minded individual of the finance team able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The SFA should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
This position will be business facing supporting Sales, Global Customer Support, Consulting Services, Analytical Support and Marketing for the RMS operating unit within Moody's Analytics.
