The Senior Certification Analyst will support, report to, and deputize the Certification Manager for FLOCERT´s Americas team, and for the business activities of the region.The person will be a dynamic team leader, responsible for effectively coordinating and managing FLOCERT's certification and other services to organizations within the America region. Ability to support customers and analysts through their needs, and availability to travel to assigned countries, is a core requirement. Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and teamwork spirit are essential assets for this position.**Your responsibilities**- Assist the Regional Manager and Certification Managers in Development, Coordination and/or delivery of various specialized and core services of FLOCERT- Train and evaluate the team of external and internal auditors- Train and support in evaluation decisions certification analysts- Make certification decisions- Audit Planning and coordination of services for assigned clients- Assist the Certification Manager in implementing budget targets- Act as Certification responsible for assigned customers- Evaluate companies for assigned products against different Fairtrade Standards- Contribute to the constant improvement of FLOCERT´s certification System- Conduct Fairtrade Audits for assigned customers- Manage customer requests- Promote, sell, and deliver various services of FLOCERT**Your tasks**- Deliver or assist in the delivery of various specialized services- Assist in constant improvement of certification processes- Answer National Fairtrade Organisations' (NFOs) / Fairtrade International's special requests- Assist in the selection, evaluation, and training of auditors- Identify special needs of Key Accounts and act as account manager- Perform evaluations of audit reports from different countries against different Fairtrade Standards- Perform Fairtrade audits of customers in assigned countries- Answer certification related questions from customers- Audit planning and audit coordination for assigned countries- Communicate actively with applicants and certified customers and assist them with all necessary information- Actively participate in the annual audit planning for assigned countries- Instruct customers on Fairtrade requirements- Any additional individual tasks assigned to the staff member based on operational requirements as and when they arise**Your qualifications, experience and skills****"Must Haves"**- Experience in Certification Systems (e.9. Organic, SA 8000, Fai FSC, MSC, JAS, ISO etc.)- Minimum of 7-year professional work experience in the field of food processing, verification or certification, supply chain management, sustainability, or equivalent business area- Prior experience in social auditing or organic auditing- Experience in international trade- Strong command in the use of MS Office products- Fluent in Spanish and English written and spoken- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills- A reliable, flexible and stress resistant team player- Excellent communication skills; experience in dealing with different cultures- Strong dedication towards customer service- Motivation for Fairtrade and sustainability**"Nice to have"**- Knowledge Portuguese / French language (written and spoken)- Experience in social auditing, carbon and / or water footprint- Work experience in food processing industry- Knowledge of the agricultural sector in America- Knowledge in accounting- Experience in managing projects- Technical knowledge related to agribusiness (coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, banana etc.)
