The Senior Buyer balances supplier capacity and internal inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with build plans, launch plans, customer service levels and inventory turns. Leads all efforts with suppliers to address product availability issues and ensures that long term supply constraint issues are resolved or escalated when appropriate. Also has a high level of focus on driving continuous improvement both externally with the supplier and internally within the purchasing function and with key stakeholders.**:**What you need**:- ** Bachelor's degree (Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field)**:- ** 5+ years in years in Supply Management or related field with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development**:- ** International sourcing and supplier management.**:- ** Experience operating in a highly regulated industry.**:- ** Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services.**:- ** Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders**:- ** Strong skills in leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication & presentation, project management, troubleshooting & problem solving, analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building.**:- ** Professional certifications through APICS, ISM, and/or CSCMP**:- ** Project Management knowledge and experience**:- ** Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment**:- ** Knowledge and experience in contractual negotiations and administration.**:**About Stryker
