Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
- Provide technical training and support to categories 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- Lead multi-functional teams with personnel from different departments.
- Identify and participate in the resolution of issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good understanding of requirements in ERP system to maintain a high level of effectiveness in a changing environment.
- Review departmental process on a continuous basis to ensure that department, company and customer objectives are being met.
- Implement opportunities for improvement to the ERP system and processes for integrated system solutions that support the supply chain stakeholders.
- Active participation in Inventory strategy definition to achieve Inventory turns goal.
- Participate and generate VIP initiatives.
- Perform other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor.
- Participate on project teams if required.
- Support product launch manager on management activities as required.
- Monitor Inventory levels. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics for production performance according to the requested production plan.
- Track Suppliers performance. Identify gaps and drive solutions with Supplier and Viant Supplier Quality representative.
- Develop inventory targets and manage Purchase Orders to achieve target inventory levels.
- Perform other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor.
Knowledge / Education
- Bilingual English/Spanish - Advanced English level (written and spoken).
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or International Trades.
- Knowledge on ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodology (yellow / green belt certification) and Lean Manufacturing.
- Additional Knowledge it's considered a Plus.
Job Experience
- From 4 to 6 years of experience in purchasing and manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of experience within the medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical fields, or any other highly regulated industry (i.e. food, aerospace, etc.).
