Brief Role Description
- Place Purchase Orders based on MRP system alerts.
- Confirm Purchase Orders with suppliers and update ship dates in the system.
- Follow up of pass due POs.
- PPV log maintenance.
- Maintain constant communication with internal and external stakeholders in regards to customer satisfaction.
- Interact with all Departments to communicate shortages material appropriately.
- Monitor and maintain purchasing parameters for procured items.
- Coordinate with planning area the availability of raw materials to meet the established production levels.
- Identify and participate in PPV and consignment opportunities.
- Monitor Inventory levels. Identify gaps and drive solutions.
- Maintain Procurement Metrics according to plan.
- Track Suppliers performance. Identify gaps and drive solutions with Supplier and Viant Supplier Quality representative.
- Develop inventory targets and manage Purchase Orders to achieve target inventory levels
- Participate in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
- Provide technical training and support to Buyers within lowest categories.
- Lead multi-functional teams with personnel from different departments.
- Identify and participate in the resolution of issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good understanding of requirements in ERP system to maintain a high level of effectiveness in a changing environment.
- Active participation in Inventory strategy definition to achieve Inventory turns goal.
- Participate and generate VIP initiatives.
Education/Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or International Trade.
- Fully Bilingual English /Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Microsoft teams and Power BI Knowledge.
- APICS -CSCP-CPIM certification is a plus.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing positions.
