We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ansible Engineer with expertise in both Ansible and OpenShift to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Ansible Engineer, you will be a key member of our senior team responsible for implementing and managing automation solutions using Ansible for our IT infrastructure. Your expertise in Ansible, OpenShift, and automation best practices will be crucial in driving efficiency, scalability, and reliability across our organization.
**Requirements**:
- **Fluent in English. High Proficiency level (must).**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (desired).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation solutions using Ansible and OpenShift in enterprise-level environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Ansible best practices, playbooks, roles, and automation methodologies, with a strong understanding of automation design patterns.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, to enhance automation capabilities and develop custom solutions.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, for managing Ansible codebase and collaborating effectively with the team.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, enabling seamless integration of Ansible and OpenShift with modern infrastructure practices.
- Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, network protocols, and cloud-based infrastructure, enabling effective automation across diverse environments.
- Solid experience in setting up environments from scratch and managing infrastructure as code using both Ansible and OpenShift.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (desired).
- Ansible Automation Certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation) (desired).
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (RHCSA) (desired).
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, IT operations, and software development, to understand automation requirements and design efficient Ansible playbooks and roles that align with business objectives.
- Lead the development of custom Ansible modules, if needed, to extend the capabilities of automation in our diverse technology landscape.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Ansible automation, including identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing playbooks for maximum efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and best practices in Ansible automation, while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with architects and infrastructure teams to architect and implement solutions for building scalable and highly available infrastructure using Ansible and OpenShift.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new Ansible features, tools, and integrations, as well as OpenShift capabilities, to enhance automation capabilities and stay current with industry best practices.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation, including playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles, to ensure a clear understanding and smooth operations for the team.
- Work closely with IT operations teams to integrate Ansible and OpenShift into existing workflows and processes, ensuring smooth onboarding and minimizing disruptions during implementation.
- Proactively identify areas for automation and propose solutions to optimize repetitive and manual tasks across the organization.
- Demonstrate senior-level expertise in both Ansible and OpenShift, providing architectural guidance and designing solutions for complex automation challenges.
