Obtains the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. The Commodity Lead will support the implementation of specific projects related to cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base and sourcing optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation.- Processing all Non-Stock GQO, QMS, & Prototype POs:- Generating, revising, expediting, and tracking of purchase orders and amendments using JD Edwards ERP system for medical device parts, service agreements, and/or special tools, for the Leesburg and Allendale locations- Ensure 100% data accuracy of all purchase orders and the creation of purchase orders within 24 hours of request- Provide guidance to our PO requestors on the vendor onboarding process for direct and non-direct suppliers. This is when a supplier (s) is not found in JDE or is not on the Approved Supplier Lists (ASL) for Leesburg & Allendale- Interface frequently with outside vendors on numerous levels:- On purchase of products- RMA Requests -on product returns for nonconformances- Interface frequently with Accounts Payable and Finance Departments- On obtaining correct account numbers and Branch Plant routings for PO's and invoicing issues- RMA Requests Procedure:- Weekly, export data from the RMA Tracker (Access Database) to an Excel spreadsheet- Send report to accounting/finance/A/P for all RMAs that were assigned in the latest period- If needed, follow-up within a week's time frame if no RMA response are made from the suppliers**What you need**:- Desired system and experience- 3-5 years experience in a sourcing, purchasing or supply chain function- Experience with MS Office (more specifically, Excel)- Experience with MRP software (Oracle-JDE, or SAP preferred**Know someone at Stryker?****About Stryker**:Stryker is one of the world's leading medical technology companies and, together with our customers, is driven to make healthcare better.The company offers innovative products and services in Medical and Surgical, Neurotechnology, Orthopedics, and Spine that help improve patient and healthcare outcomes.
