Senior Accountant - Consolidations will be a key member of the Controller's group and will assist in the oversight and execution of monthly consolidation/intercompany processes.
The position will also focus on creating/adding operational efficiencies to the current processes.
The Senior Accountant will be expected to demonstrate clear and concise communication skills in summarizing key information to and developing strong relationships with senior management.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Contribute to ensuring an accurate and timely monthly close so that all financial reporting deadlines and control policies are met.
- Establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
- Performs and reviews analysis and reconciliations and prepares financial analysis for management (e.g., CTA, intercompany/elimination out of balances, fluctuation variances).
- Ensure intercompany transactions are recorded properly based on the contractual agreements.
- Drive process improvement and efficiency of departmental procedures and utilization of resources
- Assist in integration of newly acquired business on GL system
- Applies accounting judgment when reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, contracts, new accounting pronouncements, and account analyses.
- Reviews or prepares supporting documentation and account analyses for internal and external audits; manages audit relationships and acts as principle point of contact with respect to their areas, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Proactively performs ad-hoc account analyses on a timely basis.
- Proactively identify problems and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- May supervise day-to-day work of offshore junior level employees.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement in finance process and initiatives
- Assist with Ad-hoc assignments and special projects
- Responsible for supporting financial filings and reporting deadlines.
- Degree in accounting and a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience Accounting, Finance, or business-related fields in Financial Services
- Strong knowledge of a major financial system (preferably SAP & BlackLine)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with a wide range of people across different functions and levels of seniority.
