… We are looking for a Superstar like you—customer-focused and ready to have the best day, every day... About the role: DHL is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its Heredia, Costa Rica team.
In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate reporting of the monthly financial statements of DHL entities in accordance with Accounting principles and corporate policies.
Additional tasks and accountabilities include but are not limited to: Main Responsibilities * Prepare B/S accounts reconciliation and to ensure that all balance sheet accounts, sub ledger accounts and interface reconciliations are kept up to date and in line with the DHL Express Regional Operating Model, and that the accounts are reviewed by the Team Manager before being sent to the Business Partner.
* Prepare, review and post manual journal entries in line with IFRS, CREST and DP DHL policy and guidelines.
* Ensure the timely preparation and distribution of required financial and accounting reports (including management information).
* Ensure that group and area month end closing deadlines are consistently met.
* Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations for specific account ranges, entities or a set of entities in line with the DHL Express Regional Operating Model, and follow up on open items until resolution.
Ensure that all relevant backups are stored in the appropriate location.
* Support the offshored Financial Accounting activities according to SOPs by delivering according to Service Level Agreements by daily follow up on operational and contractual targets.
* Perform, monitor and advice on risk assessment according to global Balance Sheet Guidelines and the GOM Regional Operating Model.
* Coordination within RTR and finance processes to ensure compliance in the close calendar.
* Ensure Global RTR KPIs are consistently met for the region.
* Focused on continuous improvement and leading projects related to enhancements and migrations.
* Actively participate in crucial conversations with stakeholders.
