Job Summary:
Security Lead Engineer is responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of many different pieces of network and security-related hardware and software.
Security Lead Engineer is also responsible to mitigate any potential threats that become evident, but also to strategize and prepare before any security threat is enacted.
As a Lead you will oversee a team of personnel focused on technical issues, including architecting, solutions, automating and resolving escalated service issues.
In addition to hiring and training staff and delegating work assignments, may also collaborate with colleagues to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
They often evaluate their team's work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations.
Security Lead engineer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the company's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access.
This includes securing both online and on-premise infrastructures, weeding through metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for designing and defining SOP for Security.
- Provide L3 troubleshooting escalated support issues related to datacenter, network operations and cyber security incidents.
- Prepare a root cause analysis to maintain the quality & quantity of the required efforts per device according to established guidelines.
- Monitoring of web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, endpoint security
- Recommend modifications in technical and regulatory areas that affect IT security
- Manage complex technical network and security problems
- Status reports of hardware and software products as per designated policies
- Overseeing the compliance of Auxis operating processes
- Make recommendation on new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threat or malfunctions
- Lead both long and short-term security engineering projects by meeting with customers, gathering requirements, designing solutions, scheduling tasks, implementing solutions, as well as deploying network solutions and documenting all work products.
- Lead with company values and delivers high quality value to client.
- Serves as a coach and advisor to technical team in respective area.
- Reviewing, enforcing & reporting the metrics for the team
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years working experience in related field
- Computer Science, Engineering, IT bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
- English Level B2+
- Knowledge in ITIL
- Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.
- Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
- Cloud technologies experience.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 V4
- Experience with Security tools such as:
- Vulnerability Scanning
- Intrusion Detection and Prevention
- Log Collection, search and monitoring
- Antivirus/Antimalware
- Single Sign-on
- Dual Factor Authentication
- URL Content/Web Filtering
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Participate in 24x7 on call support rotation
- Strong team player
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
- High degree of adaptability to learn new technologies
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and willingness to assist staff and clients
